Google DeepMind

Sagi Perel is a Director of Research at Google Deepmind, where he leads research efforts in Bayesian Optimization, AutoML, Large Language Models and AGI. Prior to joining Google, he earned a PhD in Neural Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where he worked on Brain Machine Interfaces and neural control of movement in non-human primates. Dr. Perel completed a postdoc at Carnegie Mellon University where he studied information encoding in different brain signal modalities. His research interests include both Neuroscience and AI, with an emphasis on NeuroAI (how Neuroscience and AI disciplines can inform each other).
